Recovery Plant Systems


Univermak, which conducts many Research & Developments studies on the recovery of diluted caustic after mercerising process in the textile industry, produces the most accurate, most economical and highest effciency caustic recycling machine in this direction.it is possible to recover weak lye to strong lye in proportion as %95-%98 after processing with Ünivermak Caustic Recovery Plant. With Ünivermak caustic recovery plant, weak lye can be enriched to be 44° Baumé and the recovered caustic soda quality is, as like as original caustic soda quality so it does not require any cleaning process. After the bleaching process, the dirt formed inside the weak caustic is taken through our special filtration system and a clean caustic soda solution is obtained after the process.


As shown in the sketch, the Caustic Recovery Plant separates the weak lye (washing liquid) into strong lye and vapor condensate. The strong lye (recovered lye) can be reused at the mercerising machine without need any cleaning process. The steam generated in the process is condensed and recovered by a cooling exchanger. The recovered water is returned to the main water tank to be used by factory other processes. The recovered water pH value is between ‘’7,5-8’’ pH and the temperature is between ‘’37-40’’ °C and it can be used into mercerising process, the washing process, bleaching process and more.

Caustic Recovery Plant which is produced by Univermak is working under the vacuum technology with a temperature is 65°C. And this machine is designed to recovering 700 kg/hour strong lye (capacity can be increased according to request). The system has an online baumé measurement feature and the baumé can be controlled when processing continuous and can be set nal baumé value. The automation system is recording and reporting all of the process such as total consumed energy, total quantity of recovered caustic lye(strong lye), total quantity of recovered water, pH value of recovered water, the temperature of recovered water and more.
